I am one of the lucky few who has a husband who loves to browse the aisles at craft stores. He particularly likes the seasonal decoration aisle, and he knows how to drag that out long enough to give me time to grab that “one thing” we came in for (plus the other 5 things that I didn’t realize I couldn’t live without.)
After a recent outing, we came home to work in the yard. As we fought the long viney weeds that every year threaten to choke out the back fence bushes, Mr. SuzerSpace joked that they looked like the base of the pre-assembled and decorated wreaths that people were actually paying money for in the store.
As he threw the bundle of cut vines into the compost bag, I realized not only was he right, but he had an excellent point. And suddenly yard work took a back seat to crafterday afternoon.
