Hello April 2019

A look at what March 2019 was like, and what April 2019 may bring to SuzerSpace.com

The winter weather hung on until right at the edge of the Spring Equinox – it was bitterly cold the week before, and then boom, out came the sun and the 50 degree afternoons. It’s been so nice opening the front door during the day and not having to run in from the car after work because of the bitter cold.

Of course, it snowed on Saturday just to mess with everyone’s state of mind, but it was too warm to stick so it ended up being kind of pretty.

I’ve seen the tips of the daffodils poking through the leaves I didn’t rake up last year, and that’s a sure sign spring is coming, and they have survived April and even May snowstorms before.

Three things that I really enjoyed in March this year:

1. Papa Murphy’s. Do you have one of these near you? We’ve been buying their take and bake pizza there, but suddenly realized that the best deal for us is NY XL Cheese Pizza. It’s larger than a large, smaller than a family, and it has a thin crust, which makes it more carb counting friendly. It is regularly on special for $8.00 and it’s enough pizza (with a salad that we make at home) for dinner for the two of us, with leftovers for nearly a week for my lunch. Fun fact – I don’t like reheated pizza. I’d rather it eat it cold, which makes a perfect work lunch since i don’t even have to wait for a turn in the company kitchen for the microwave.

This also brings up an important question – are you team squares or team triangles when you cut your pizza?

2. 7 Days Out on Netflix. This is a short series (so it’s easy to binge watch) about the details and drama leading up to “major” events. I use the quotes here on purpose  – I’m not sure that’d I’d put a Fashion Show in the same list as NASA’s Cassini mission, but I did enjoy the series.

3. Felt crafting. I’ve been working on a few hand sewing projects based on pins I’ve saved in Pinterest, and I really like sewing felt, since it is inexpensive, comes in a bunch of good colors and doesn’t fray. I’ve got two really cute projects working and whichever one comes out better will be the star of an upcoming Pinterest Challenge Post (that blog hop, hosted by Erlene at My Pinterventures goes live on the third Tuesday of every month).
